Each year the awards for Best Car of the Year are celebrated. There are different levels as the Best European Car, or already globally. But one of the most interesting is the Women’s World Car of the Year, an event similar to the above, only driven only by women, motoring journalists.
It is a global event with a global jury and has already announced the winners in the various categories. Besides the general classification, the award provides the best family car, the best economy car, luxury, aspirational, sports, SUV and also the best eco car. Quite full.
The Award for Best Car of the Year by women makes clear that carried away by practical criteria, analyzing a set of details for each similar car to us analyzed in each test. So make sure, in a way, that the car’s sporty character in the category of family will not have a privileged position.
The Mercedes S Class takes the prize for Best Car of the Year for Women 2014
Starting efficient vehicle category, the prize goes to the Honda Fit / Jazz. In family strangely stands as the Audi A3 Sedan winner, ahead of other similar options in the same range of VAG Group. As for SUV, the Range Rover Sport is the title in this contested category.
Turning to luxury, Mercedes S Class takes first place Best Car of the Year, while sports cars Audi S3 palm takes, perhaps a good way to combine as versatile as sports complex. As for aspirational cars, Jaguar F-Type, how could it be otherwise the prize? The Tesla Model S finally won in the category of best eco car.
The classification, considering many aspects together, stays with the Mercedes Class S as the winner, leaving the Audi A8 in second place and the Tesla Model S closing the podium in third. The results are, as usual, somewhat questionable, but in general seems a pretty accurate ranking.
