Jaguar Land Rover take care of the safety of cyclists

Jaguar Land Rover introduced a new active safety system that cares for pedestrians and cyclists, called Bike Sense. The system uses light, sound and vibration signals to draw the driver’s attention on the moving obstacles.

Bike Sense system is based on the technologies presented earlier, lies in the different types of signals that attract the driver’s attention. At first glance it may seem that they are only distracting, but the British company, on the contrary, I am sure that they will only increase the concentration and help the driver to notice the things that usually remain unnoticed.

For example, if the driver is about to open the door (and in the UK drive on the right, so the driver goes on the road), and the direction the car is moving another object, the door handle vibrates and the system will give the cabin a light signal. When driving, the system may beep like a bicycle bell or horn motorcycle to warn the driver of a moving object in the blind spot. At the same time, the LEDs on the front racks are poured from red to yellow, depending on the direction of motion of a cyclist or motorcyclist.
