Updated Hyundai Veloster debuted in South Korea


Hyundai continues to update the lineup. Recently went through the process of restyling Hyundai ix35, a compact crossover South Korean brand. Recall that the ix35 is the successor to Tucson and was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show. If you prefer the previous version of the car, then the market can still find Hyundai Tussan city. However, the most recent restyling was dynamic hatchback Veloster, which has already debuted on the domestic market. Later Hyundai Veloster should be submitted in one of the major international auto and will be available in the second half of this year as a 2016 model.


Appearance Veloster has undergone fewer changes than would be expected from an upgrade. Grille received a silver finish and wheels are a new design. This is, in principle, all that can be seen from the exterior innovations. Inside there is a little more than novelties: two-tone upholstery, perforated leather on the steering wheel and just adjust the instrument panel. Special attention should be a new system EQ, sound generation, it is available with 6 levels of adjustment. Management Veloster is now possible in three modes: Dynamic, Sporty and Extreme.


Of greatest interest to lovers of hot-hatch will represent Veloster Turbo version with a 1.6-liter turbo “four”. The engine develops 204hp (186l.s. in Europe) and will now be offered with a 7-speed automatic transmission with two clutches. Standard transmission, however, remains a 6-band “mechanics”.


The cost of the updated Hyundai Veloster starts from 23.7 million won (about 1.4 million rubles at the Jan. 20, 2015). In the Russian market model is offered with a 132-horsepower 1.6-liter engine, which is available with a 6-step “mechanics” and “automatic”.
