Concern Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has decided to highlight the brand New Ferrari into a separate company and put its shares on the stock exchange. The following year, a 10% stake in Ferrari will be posted on the US and perhaps one and European exchanges.
New Ferrari will become an independent company
As reported by Reuters , the board of directors of the seventh-largest automaker of the world decided the remaining 90% stake in Ferrari distributed to the shareholders FCA, some of whom are members of the family Agnelli, once founded the Fiat. Thus, FCA hopes to attract the necessary investment to fund its ambitious development plan, which is estimated at 48 billion euros.
“We are working on the implementation of our business plan, calculated for the year 2014-2018 and the maximum increase in the value of our business for our shareholders. It is logical that we decided to choose their own path to FCA and new Ferrari”, – said the head of the Italian concern and Ferrari head Sergio Marchionne.
Earlier, Marchionne, only having been assigned to the post of head of Ferrari, said about the upcoming increase in the volume of production, which has always stood against the former head of the legendary brand Luca di Montezemolo. Such a move Marchionne explained by the fact that the segment, which presents an Italian brand, expanding rapidly, and if you save the production rates at the same level, all those wishing to purchase a sports car with the prancing stallion on the hood is too long, and eventually the company will lose potential customers.
However, a little later than Marchionne assured fans of the brand that the company is sure to preserve the unique DNA of new Ferrari.
