Audi has released a video of the original racing duel. Winner touring and rally racing Mattias Ekström driving 600-strong car Audi S1 tried to outrun a radio-controlled model, which was piloted by 13-year-old Mika Vidmayer.
However, the pilot of a radio-controlled version of Audi S1 was not so simple – in his 13 years Mika has become a two-time German champion among juniors in this kind of competition. Full race car and his counterpart from the remote control held in the industrial complex and vaguely resemble the famous American athlete rollers Ken Block.
Mika Vidmayer ran his fireballs with the help of video cameras installed on it and the monitor. At the same time, if Mattias Ekström had to go around obstacles using all the possibilities of the engine and the transmission of its hatchback (he acted on it in this season of world championship rally-cross), its radio-controlled opponent just slipped under most of them.
