At the Consumer Electronics Show CES 2015 in Las Vegas, the company showed a concept hatchback Volkswagen Golf R Touch with a minimum number of buttons in the cabin. Most of the controls was postponed for three large touch screen. The Germans called his creation “dashboard of the future.”
Presented Volkswagen Golf R Touch is based on the standard R-version for the US market. However, in this case the main “highlight” hatchback were not the specifications and even car design. Main attention is attracted by electronics in the cabin.
Manage multimedia system, air conditioning system, headlight range control – all these familiar elements in R Touch were transferred to three displays with high resolution. The main and most significant source of information is a 12.8-inch monitor at the top of the center console. It displays all the basic information navigator, parking sensors and a multimedia system.
Located just below the eight-inch screen, responsible for managing the air conditioning machines, and other features that are often regulated by buttons and switches.
In place of an analog instrument panel was installed 12.3-inch display. Its feature set is limited to standard output information about the speed, flow and balance of fuel, engine speed, etc. In this case, all monitors have the power settings “under him.” Depending on the preference of the driver can select what information should be displayed on each of the displays.
