North American Auto Show in Detroit has become a place for the world premiere of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S – the most powerful and fast version of the popular sport-utility vehicle.
After upgrading the 4.8-liter V8 twin-turbo has at its disposal a herd of 570 (20) “horses”, and the maximum torque is an impressive 800 Nm values in (50 Nm). Of course, that in view of the increased capacity of the car demanded and other changes in the structure. In particular, the novelty has received recustomized chassis, as well as other “firmware” electronic control systems. The basic package includes Cayenne Turbo S composite carbon-ceramic brake discs with a diameter of 420 mm and 10-piston (!) Front calipers and 370-milimmetrovye with 4-piston calipers – behind. Active stabilization system (PDCC) prevents the machine from tipping over in the turns, and the distribution system of the thrust vector (PTV Plus) can improve the handling and stability of all-wheel drive car by braking of a wheel. In addition, the car is equipped with a brand-wheel drive system that can send up to 100% of torque to the rear as well as to the front wheels.
As the flagship of the family, Cayenne Turbo S has a maximum configuration, which includes 21-inch wheels, LED headlights with dynamic light distribution (PDLS Plus), leather trim and carbon. Porsche Cayenne Turbo S will be the German dealers in the second quarter of this year at a price of 166,696 euros, including local taxes and fees.
