Three models of KIA awarded Good Design Award

Three new models KIA Motors awarded the prestigious international award in the field of design – GoodDesign.

The winners in the category “Vehicles» (Transportation) were: flagship sedan KIA Quoris, the first electric car brand KIA Soul EV concept sports coupe and KIA GT4 Stinger. KIA brand new year started with receiving awards. At this time, the South Korean car design competition jury noted GoodDesign, composed of independent experts in the field of design, professionals working directly in the industry, as well as representatives of specialized media design.

Nominees were assessed on a broad set of indicators:

• Innovative design;


• the use of modern technologies;


• materials and design solutions;


• functionality and practicality.

Vice-President of KIA Motors International Marketing, Mr. Sung-Nam Lee commented on the decision of the jury: “GOOD DESIGN Award prize of three of our cars – proof of our high-class design team. He has been awarded a number of the most diverse professional awards for his work on the newest models. Electric Soul EV concept sports coupe and GT4 Stinger public accepted as warm as any one model in the history of the brand. KIA Quoris flagship became the perfect combination of classic and most modern stylistic solutions. It could be described as the epitome of the modern conception of luxury. “

GOOD DESIGN Award was established in 1950 by the International Museum of Architecture and Design Chicago «TheChicagoAtheneum» and is awarded annually. The winners are determined in 25 different categories. In the past, GOOD DESIGN award winners were representatives of different directions – from designers paperclips to the creators of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and the development of spacecraft NASA.
