Audi has introduced a new generation two-liter turbo TFSI: 190 hp power and 320 Nm of traction

The symposium in Vienna, Audi has officially unveiled the new generation of four-cylinder petrol turbo engine with direct injection, known under the designation 2.0 TFSI. For the first time on the family unit will be Audi A4, which is a generational change coming in the fall.

Stated characteristics of the new engine – 190 hp power, 320Nm of thrust (in the range of 1450 to 4400 rev / min) and the flow rate of 5 liters of fuel per 100 km (in the EU test cycle NEDC). The weight of the motor is 140 kg.

Audi representatives particularly emphasized optimally matched volume unit. “The decrease in the working volume and tempo of the engine is appropriate only when the account of the class passed the car and its potential buyers,” – said the director of Technical Development of Audi Ulrich Hackenberg.

The company said that the low load engine has best in class consumption, which is more typical for motors with less, but at the same time, the unit has a high power under heavy loads.

The best performance was achieved by optimizing the time and injection pressure, as well as flexible working corporate complex valve control Audi Valvelift System. In addition, an improved cooling circuit and is integrated into the cylinder head exhaust manifold allow the engine to quickly reach operating temperature. Among other things, the efficiency of the engine is improved by minimizing the friction losses – in the unit used oil 0W-20.

Recall, last symposium in Vienna engine company Audi has introduced a new generation of diesel engine 3.0 TDI.
