Zagato made "Monster"

Next Villa d’Este Elegance Contest will premiere a new platform for the creation of Zagato – is Maserati Mostro, built in honor of the 100th anniversary of “Mather”. But it is not just a show-bob – studio build five copies of a special dvuhdverki.

Beautiful console in the title was borrowed from the 1957 Maserati 450 S Coupe Zagato, nicknamed “il Mostro” (“Monster”, in our opinion) for soundly serving power and acted in “24 Hours of Le Mans.” From there came the ‘retro – look more in the gallery.

By the way, with the power and speed brainchild Zagato problems too, will not. Exact figures yet, but it is known that there used V8 with smart electronics, six-speed sequential gearbox (rear-mounted, under the scheme transaxle) and limited slip differential. Also, the developers talk about the full carbon monocoque body and that provided Maserati Mostro weight of about 1,000 kg.

If the “Monster” has intrigued you before the full release, and you have already run out of the house with a passbook, stop immediately and cool down – all five of them have already been bought. And the price tag is still kept secret. That’s the way!
