Until recently the epitome of luxury in the Daimler group was in the Mercedes S-Class Maybach brand. Revitalised after decades in oblivion, the firm aimed to compete with prestigious brands like Rolls-Royce or Bentley. The success was very scarce and in 2013 ceased activity with the arrival of brand new Mercedes S-Class Maybach models were based on the previous generation model.


Aware of the problem, Mercedes decided to refocus its strategy and use the name of the most luxurious Mercedes S-Class Maybach model, but under the star logo. So now comes the Mercedes S-Class Maybach, the luxury model of the German brand and also more honest than those who carried the Maybach emblem. The new model will ship in February 2015.

Its exterior dimensions are a real limousine, with 5453 mm long with a wheelbase of 3365. It is 20 longer than a long-wheelbase S-Class and all the space goes to the rear centimeters. The first represents the summum with 6.0 V12 biturbo engines of 530 horses and 830 nm, while the second with a 4.6-liter V8 biturbo engine, 455 horses and 700Nm is a more “modest” alternative. They both do 0-100 in 5.0 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 self-limited kilometers per hour. Most striking is the ridiculous average consumption of 7.6 liters V8 and 9.8-liter twelve-cylinder.


Needless to say, the Mercedes S-Class Maybach can boast of having one of the most luxurious interiors. Luxury can be far wallet allows, but now standard leather panels of the doors are hand embroidered. Wood and metal chrome help create the atmosphere of luxury at the leather of the highest quality.
